This competition season saw many Clubs in recovery mode with smaller teams represented at both the Junior and Senior Carnivals.

Woolamai Beach regularly held training at Smiths Beach with the Wain, Fawaz, Bennett and Wright families improving their skills and enjoying meeting other competitors from the Club as they joined in across the weeks.

We had one senior competitor and 15 junior competitors this season. Jett Fawaz and Isabelle Thornborrow competed at the Junior State Titles in Lorne with Isabelle taking home a Gold Medal in the Wade Relay and a Silver Medal in the Swim Relay. Ayden Fawaz represented the Club at the Senior State Titles in Warrnambool with a Gold in the Beach Run, a Silver in the Beach Relay and a Silver in the Cameron Relay taking home the Club’s Individual Competitor of the Year Award this year.

We congratulate all our competitors and their hard-working volunteers who support them. We look forward to building our team in the coming season and encourage all members to enquire about how competition can assist them at improving their skills and participation in the Club.
