Thanks to those who have helped out with the ongoing maintenance to our great clubhouse. There are a few who have gone above and beyond and they & I know who they are. SLAY legends.

She is solid and a LSV sanctioned report revealed that with regular maintenance and some specific maintenance tasks completed the clubhouse has another 25 years before we need to replace.

Therefore ongoing maintenance is vital. There is a team and with many it’s not so bad.

Tasks completed this season:

  • All sorts of general maintenance done on a regular basis

  • Major roof replacement

  • Gear shed extension.

  • Increased beds and sleeping capacity.

  • Updated security & access.

  • Replaced the roof in one of the bunk rooms.

  • New washing machine and dryer installed – thanks guys for finding and installing.

  • Fixed the leaking gutter leaking into the training room.

  • Fixed/repaired/replaced and improved the box gutter above the Training room.

  • Lock installed hallway to gear shed.

  • Bar now has a gated door.

  • Bunk room external door replaced and weather proofed.

  • Jet ski ramp repaired.

  • Jet ski shed roller door fixed.

  • And probably a heap of other stuff.

Underway/Coming:

  • Replacement TV for the existing 9 TV wall.

  • Double glazed windows in the bar area.

  • Smiths Beach Tower total refurbishment.

  • Pathway road to past the public toilets.

  • Major works on sand dunes and retaining walls (underway now).

  • Widen the gear shed driveway

  • Rubbish bin enclosure

  • PINP planting days to revegetate the sand dunes correctly

Stuff is getting done.
