This Bronze Medallion course forms part of the Year 10 Upwey High School Curriculum, where students stay at Woolamai Beach Surf Life Saving Club learning first aid and surf awareness skills. The Bronze Medallion Award is the minimum standard to become a qualified lifesaver.

After this course, you can go on to qualify to pilot a rescue jetski, inflatable rescue boats, rescue helicopter crew, professional lifeguard, specialist first aid, rescue coordination, and more! Compete around Australia in surf swimming, board and ski paddling, beach running, and surf boat rowing.
