End of Patrol Season 2020/21 Update
Patrol Season 2020/21 - Pack er' up!
The weekend just been saw our last days for the season hoisting up the red and yellow flags at Wooly & Smiths for the season.
A massive massive thank you to the hundreds of members who give up thousands of hours in the lead up and during the patrolling season either on the beach or in the background keeping the wheels turning!
Our incredible efforts as a club saw over 37,000 punters enjoy a dip at wooly and smiths this summer, and most importantly, each one of those returned home safely from their day at our beaches.
Some stats from our clubs volunteers on the beach this season:
Rescues: WOOLAMAI: 22 / SMITHS: 3
Incidents (Call outs): WBSLSC: 3
Major First Aids: WOOLAMAI: 3 / SMITHS: 1
Minor First Aids: WOOLAMAI: 16 / SMITHS: 19
Preventative Actions: WOOLAMAI: 6088 / SMITHS: 1619
Attendance: WOOLAMAI: 23871 / SMITHS: 13527
Weekends and Public Holidays volunteers patrolled Woolamai from 28/11/20 to 18/4/21, Smiths 27/2/21 to 18/4/21.
Whilst the patrol seasons wrapped up, lots and lots of background work is already underway to get us prepped for a bigger and even better 21/22 season, including some tasty renovations and upgrades to the clubhouse, gearshed and residence!
During the offseason I'd also highly encourage anyone who who are keen to find something more to be involved in in our unreal club to reach out to a board member - many hands and great minds make our club an even greater place!
Once again, a massive thank you all that you contribute to our club and the community!
Catch you on the beach.
