Channel Challenge Dinner/Trivia
Hi All Woolamai Members and Family,

Channel Challenge Race Centre Help Needed!
Time: Saturday 4th Feb 8:00am - 10:30am
Hi all,
we're still looking for some helpers in the race centre for the channel challenge this Saturday 4th February.
The role includes helping people check in and collecting their caps and gear. It's a simple role but will be vital in ensuring that the day runs smoothly and on time considering the race is extra early this year at 11:00am.

Rainbow Zinc
Get down for Rainbow Zinc patrol on Sunday February 5th!! Rainbow patrol celebrates everyone, and encourages inclusion and diversity within our club and community. On Saturday the 4th there will be a dinner for Channel Challenge at the clubhouse. We are lucky enough to be hearing from a GUEST SPEAKER on the importance of inclusion and diversity in community sport and organizations.

If you are registering for the Trainers Officer Certificate Course, please send training@woolamaibeach.asn.au an email as I will need to complete an endorsement letter.

IRB Crew & Driver Camps - Confirmed
Following the expression of Interest for IRBC and IRBD we have gained a lot of interest for both of these awards. Therefore the training team have decided to seperate the Crew and Driver Camps to ensure we get as many people through as we can.
IRB Driver Camp - (Labour Day)
Dates:
Weekend 1: Friday 10th March - Monday 13th March
Weekend 2: Friday 17th March - Sunday 19th March

Camp details will be emailed out in the following weeks to those who expressed interest. This will include payment and course enrolment details.

Patrol Hours Competition - *Errors*
The Lifesaving Service Team have identified errors in the patrol hours reporting since the beginning of the season meaning some members hours are not entered correctly.
If you believe you are one of these members, please complete the following form.
Make sure to include:
Date of Patrol
Name of Patrol
How many Hours you stayed for
Example: 26th December - Sandman - 8 hours

Hello to all Woolamai Members

From the Archives a little bit of History !

I am currently working on the Club’s archives and cataloguing a lot of new items that have been given to the Club.
It is proposed that all of the items in the Club archive will be digitized and uploaded to Victorian Collections where anybody can access all of the items, on line.
The family of Dennis Harris recently provided a large number of photos and documents collected by Dennis over many years.
This is an appeal for donations of items of Historical interest to Club Members past and present. I am looking for the following:
Club Garments
T Shirts, Tops, Shorts, other Any item of clothing with the Club Name/Logo on it, condition not important.
Photographs
Color or black and white photographs of Club activities over the years 1959 -2022. Where possible, detail of, Location, Date, Names, and any other relevant info.
General Memorabilia
Any item of Club interest, Medallions Trophies Certificates Pennants etc. In other words if it is part of Woolamai History I would like to know about it and see it.
IMPORTANT. PLEASE PROVIDE – NAMES DATES TIMES LOCATION AND ANY RELEVANT INFORMATION
If you would like to donate any item that would be great, if not we will photograph the item and return to you.
