NOTICE OF ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING 2023
Dear Members
Our clubs Annual General Meeting will be held at 10:30am on Sunday 30th July 2023 at Woolamai Beach SLSC.
Please click (here) to view a letter indicating the full details of nominating for the Board of Directors for the season 2023/24. Some of our current Board members have indicated that they intend to step down and not re-nominate for next season.
If you are interested in nominating for the Board and have questions about any of the positions, please speak with any of the current Board members via their listed contact details attached.
Nomination of Board member positions are called for by 5pm Saturday 1st July 2023 at the link here
Audited financials, previous AGM minutes and the AGM agenda will be provided in a timely manner before the AGM.

Advanced Lifesaving Camp (ALC) - LAST CHANCE!
A reminder that applications for Advanced Lifesaving Camp (ALC) are closing this Sunday 25th June. Late applications will not be accepted.
ALC is designed to enhance the training and development of Lifesavers and Lifeguard recruits. With a strong focus on high performance, ALC combines practical learning with specialised theory to advance the skill set of all participants. The program utilises both classroom and multiple coastal locations, giving lifesavers and potential lifeguards exposure to various waterways with unique risk profiles. The aim is to ensure that all members have the knowledge and skills to apply across the diverse waterways in Victoria.
This year, LSV will be running one face to face camp. Please see the details below.

2023 Advanced Lifesaving Camp Employment Opportunity
Life Saving Victoria (LSV) is now inviting applications for employment for casual roles at the 2023 Advanced Lifesaving Camp. Vacancies exist for both Camp Team Leaders, and Camp Leaders with varied specialist skills.
We are seeking experienced members with operational capabilities, leadership experience, and training and assessment qualifications.
Applicants must have a desire to support advanced lifesavers wishing to take the next step in lifesaving and strive for their Gold Medallion.

Communications Roles - Join the team!
The communications portfolio is looking for managers to join this wonderful team for the 2023/24 season. This is a great way for up and coming members or experienced members or professionals to get involved and help present our club both internally and externally!
The positions we have available include.
Social media manager:
Responsible for the clubs external output on social media. Creating content to post to the public on our various channels.
Publications and website manager:
Assisting and creating newsletters and communication to club members and the public and/or keeping the website up to date and looking for areas to build upon.
Sponsorship manager:
Working with various other areas of the club to go after sponsorship opportunities within the community.
Special events digital marketing manager:
Helping out with website, email, and social media communication for the Bass Coast Series events.
Merchandise helper:
Assist with merchandise throughout the season. Can be as little as helping out for stalls or as amazing as organising new merchandise orders and creative direction within the club.

High Performance CPR Masterclass
In September 2023, LSV are pleased to be able to offer members access to high performance CPR masterclasses, delivered by the world class Resuscitation Academy out of Canada.
This opportunity will enable members access to free 5-hour face-to-face masterclasses, to further develop their CPR skills and knowledge, and learn from the very best in the world.
The masterclasses will be delivered with the support of the Global Resuscitation Alliance, Ambulance Victoria and the Laerdal foundation. This unique opportunity is aligned with the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) Victorian Branch conference, which takes place in Melbourne on 9 th and 10th of September 23 (https://resus.org.au/conferences/)
Who Should Attend?
Regular patrollers and Patrol Captains
Trainers, Assessors and Facilitators
Chief Training Officer and Area Training and Assessment Officer
Beach, inland and pool lifeguards
Lifesaving service and aquatic industry personnel
Sessions
Three sessions are currently available for enrolments:
4 th September (9am)
6 th September (1pm)
10th September (12pm)
