2021 Member Engagement and Wellbeing Survey
Dear Members,
After reflection of the 2020/2021 season, and with the introduction of the new Member Engagement and Retention Portfolio, Woolamai Beach SLSC is strongly committed to improving member engagement, support, and wellbeing over the coming season.
From 23/9/2021 until 21/10/2021, members can submit invaluable feedback to the club through the 2021 Member Engagement and Wellbeing Survey. The survey is anonymous.
Topics covered in the survey include:
Engagement over the 2020/2021 season
Engagement in events hosted by Woolamai Beach SLSC
SRC and young member engagement
Gender diversity, engagement, and support
Female engagement and support
Discrimination, harassment, and assault
Please consider taking the time to complete the survey, as Woolamai Beach SLSC is seeking to understand where engagement and support is lacking, what we are doing well, and how we can create a rewarding, engaging and supportive experience for all its active members. We want you to feel safe and excited about coming to patrol!

SLSA Women’s Mentoring Program
Nominations have opened for the third cohort of the SLSA Women’s Mentoring Program
The Women’s Mentoring Program promotes women within Surf Life Saving, facilitating empowerment, support and leadership skills which can be applied to their paid roles inside and outside of Surf Life Saving, volunteer activities and everyday life.
The third intake for the Women’s Mentoring Program has increased its capacity to 40 mentors and 40 mentee positions available, while the age limit for mentees has also been reduced to 16 years old, as the interest from younger female surf lifesaving members has increased.
I strongly encourage all up and coming or established female members to consider applying!
