2021 Youth Symposium
The Symposium will bring together youth members from across Victoria for a day of much needed connection, fun, and empowerment through delivery of keynote speakers, leadership development activities and a platform to discuss the big issues facing our youth members.
Current Woolamai member and Membership Officer Will Slator says “The Youth Symposium is based around the notion of trying to get the youth members of SLS to step up, voice what they want to see with SLS and then execute their programs. This program not only allows members to take valuable skills to their clubs, but also in life.”
Will attended the Youth Symposium in 2019 and after participating in the innovation challenge, his team won which created what is now called the LSVj, and is responsible for creating and planning events, welfare programs and more!

Life Saving Chaplaincy
Our club committee has secured the services of Life Saving Chaplaincy Australia (LSCA) to help us find a suitable person to be our “Club Chaplain”. If you are an interested member of our club and would like to know more about the role, or if you know someone who could be, please contact Reverend Russ Harmon, the National Ministry Coordinator of LSCA, for more information.
As a non-denominational Christian service, LSCA does not require the potential Chaplain to be a minister, but they do need to attend a local church, and agree to complete a Level 2 Certificate in Sports Chaplaincy.
You can contact Russ on 0414377349 or email him at russell.harmon@lifesavingchaplaincy.com.au

Photography Team Application
In preparation for this Summer, the Communications team is looking for a number of individuals who are keen to take some photos around the club.
This includes things such as everyday patrols, training, camps, special events and any other things worth photographing and filming!
You won’t be expected to take photos at every event or anything of the sort, we’re more so looking for people to take some photos when it’s convenient and they're willing to help boost the range of our gallery that we can then use to promote our club on social media and our website!
Photos will be added to a shared platform in which they can be accessed by the communications team at ease.
Having a good camera and previous photography experience would be beneficial in helping to have high quality photos, however if you do not and are keen to get involved still apply.
If this sounds like something you’d be interested in helping out with, please apply by completing the form HERE
Applications closes 16th of October
Any questions please contact Ryan Box, Director of Communications
