Hello people!
It’s that wonderful time of the year where we get to celebrate everything we love about the gentleman of Woolamai ❤️
Everyone’s welcome to come down to the club to patrol, swim, paddle or just hangout. There’ll be good tunes, chill vibes and great times for all!
I’ll spearhead the day promoting encouragement and inclusion to all members on the beach then we’ll have a post patrol rip swim/surf/board paddle, followed by a bbq and games night at the bar.
So join me! I’ll see you in the gear shed at 12pm for some pre patrol activities.
Patrol Time: Saturday 12/2 1:00pm-4:30pm - meet at 12

2022 U15 Leadership Development Camp – Applications Open
Life Saving Victoria (LSV) is pleased to announce applications are open for the 2021 U15 Leadership Development Camp.
The U15 Camp is an opportunity for youth members to develop their leadership, interpersonal and teamwork skills while also broadening their understanding of lifesaving, as we support participants to progress through their lifesaving journey.
Mentored by current outstanding volunteer leaders, participants will have the opportunity to learn, share and network with likeminded lifesavers from across the state over a 3 day live in camp.
The camp will be taking place on the following dates:
Friday, 29 April to Sunday, 1 May 2022 at YMCA Anglesea Recreation Camp, Anglesea
Applications close Sunday, 20 March 2022
Applicant Pre – requisites
Applicants should be:
14 or 15 years of age at the time of the camp
In good standing with their club
Interested and excited in meeting people from other Victorian clubs
Keen to learn more about lifesaving and future opportunities
Looking for unique opportunities to stay engaged in lifesaving post main season
Looking to a head start in lifesaving development through goal facilitated goal setting
Application Process
Places for this camp are very competitive, application does not guarantee a place.
The following application process should be followed:
Interested candidates should speak with Charles Tuchtan, Director of Junior Development about applying.
Applications are required to include a written club endorsement, in support of the application

Camp Fees
$415.00 per participant (inc. GST).
Woolamai Beach SLSC may contribute $207.50 towards to cost of the camp through the Alan Pitts development fund.

Event Overview:
The 2022 IWD Breakfast will feature the highly successful Deputy Chancellor, Director and Melbourne Football Club President; Kate Roffey.
Through her many years in leadership, Kate has learnt what it takes to inspire, influence and empower those around her. Hear Kate talk about - Transformational leadership and how connecting individuals sense of identity and self to a project, can enhance commitment, involvement and challenge fellow leaders to take ownership of their work, allowing for greater innovation and creativity.
The brilliant Carol Fox will MC this event, which will celebrate our female volunteer members, staff and community, and their many roles. We will also recognise our outstanding females through the IWD Club & Industry nominees.
This breakfast session will be a cross agency and sector event, where we encourage our volunteer members as well as members of other Emergency Service agencies, the Aquatic Industry, Sports and recreation Industry and other likeminded agencies to join us for a morning of inspiration and celebration. Participants will have the opportunity to share, network and connect with likeminded individuals.
