Membership Renewal - **IMPORTANT**
This is a reminder to renew your Membership for the 2023/24 Season!
Any member wishing to participate in any lifesaving activity within the club or state MUST renew their membership for the current season.

Membership Fees (Increase)
Membership Fees will be increasing by $10 for all Active, Junior and Cadet categories after the 31st October this season (date has been extended). You are still able to renew/pay your membership at the current price until this date.

Pre-Season Gear Inspection
Members are invited to come to the club to assist the Lifesaving Services and Gear & Equipment Team prepare our lifesaving equipment for the upcoming season.
Date: Sunday 24th September
Time: 9am - 5pm
Tasks to be completed include:
Checking all gear equipment for quality to ensure they are operational for the season
Counting all gear & equipment to ensure we have enough to meet obligations
Listing any gear we need to purchase before the season
If you are available to attend, please contact either Terry, Campbell or Boo.

LSV 18-25 MENTEE MENTOR (M2M) PROGRAM
Applications are now open for the 2023/24 M2M Program.
Life Saving Victoria (LSV) is currently seeking both mentee participants and mentors for the 2023/24 18-25 mentee mentor program. The program will take place from October 2023 to April 2024 and is a 6-month formal partnership between the mentee and mentor.
Program Outline
The M2M program will comprise of a hybrid model of delivery, including six (6) development workshops. Refer to program table of dates and sessions below.
The M2M program supports the development of young leaders to face the challenges of current and future leadership roles with the support of a mentor and an enhanced lifesaving network. It also provides a platform to develop their leadership credentials, build on their current skillset and provides a framework to assist them to reach their leadership goals.
Woolamai have had a few members participate on this program in previous years including Terry Aslanidis (x2), Annie Coleman, Joshua Williams and Michael Butler. Please reach out to these members to find out more about their experience.

LSV U18 Leadership Development Camp
Applications are now open for the 2023 U18 Leadership Development Camp for both candidates and leaders.
Taking place Friday, 1 December to Sunday, 3 December 2023 at Lord Somers Camp, Somers. The U18 Leadership Development Camp is an opportunity for members aged 16-17 years to develop and enhance their leadership and lifesaving skills, as they progress through their lifesaving journey.
Participants are provided with the opportunity to further understand and learn about their leadership style and how to build effective teams through fun practical activities. They will be exposed to beach scenario-based training, which will help develop lifesaving, mentoring and coaching skills, which can be utilised back at their club.
Participants will be mentored by current volunteer leaders and can learn, share, and network with likeminded lifesavers from across the state over a three-day live-in camp.
Pre-Requisites
16 or 17 years of age at time of camp
Have a good standing with the club
Considered to be a future leader of the club

LSV’s (age 18-30) Leadership Program – Leadership Beyond the Flags
Applications are now open for the LSV’s new 18-30 leadership program.
Life Saving Victoria is excited to launch a new leadership development opportunity for our senior members aged 18-30 years. This program has been designed in collaboration with our senior development panel and aims to enhance our emerging leaders with the skills, attributes and knowledge required to thrive in current and future roles.
Who should participate?
Leadership beyond the flags is designed for current and emerging leaders who are seeking personal and professional development. Interested participants may have recently taken on a new leadership role or aspire to do so. Participants could include Club Captains, Patrol Captains, Chief Instructors, Age Managers, Junior Coordinators and current or aspiring Committee/Board Members.
