Junior Development Opportunities
Patrol
Upon completion of SRC, each child was assigned to a patrol group. We would love them to come along and patrol and be part of their team. If the dates allocated to their patrol group are not convenient, they are more than welcome to participate with a different patrol group. Patrol dates can be found here.
Nippers Water Safety
Each season Nippers requires a huge team of Water Safety to ensure the program runs safely, even more so in COVID times. For season 2021/22 Nippers will run daily from Wednesday 29 December to Wednesday 5 January (excluding New Year’s Day). Water Safety Crew are required to attend each day from 8.30am to 11.45am. Children should wear bathers and sunscreen and bring a wetsuit and a water bottle. We will supply them with high vis rashies and caps and provide a snack. The time they spend at Nippers will count towards their patrol hours. To participate, register here.
JAMs (Junior Age Managers) @ Nippers
We are thrilled to announce that this year the club launches its JAMs program – the Junior Age Managers program. If your child has a flare for leadership and enjoys helping others, then this opportunity may suit them. Under the direct supervision of Nippers Age Managers, JAMs lead and instruct Nippers through each session. To be a part of the JAMs program, some online training will need to be completed prior to compulsory attendance at a face-to-face training session at Cleeland Bight Beach (Cape Woolamai) on Tuesday 28 December from 9:00am-12:00pm. All JAMs will be allocated to a set Nippers age group and support and guidance will be provided throughout the program. Click here to register interest.
