What a ripper of a night! Thank you to everyone who bought a ticket to celebrate our members achievements throughout the 2021/22 season. The night was full of awards and recognition at Silverwater Resort, followed by music and dancing at the club house.
The award recipients and photos from presentation night will be made available in the upcoming June Monthly Newsletter so stay tuned!
2022 Advanced Lifesaving Camp
Candidates Expression of Interest
Life Saving Victoria (LSV) is now inviting Applications from members who wish to attend the 2022 Advanced Lifesaving Camp.
The aim of the Advanced Lifesaving Camp is to enhance the training and development of Gold Medallion Lifesavers and Lifeguard recruits, with a strong focus on high performance and practical learning within both open water and inland waterways.
Tip: Those wishing to gain first time employment as a seasonal lifeguard and/or event lifeguard for the 2022/2023 lifeguard period are strongly encouraged to attend the camp and attain the necessary advanced training and qualifications.
CAMP 1 - EAST
DATES: Monday 19th September – Friday 23rd September 2022
LOCATION: Phillip Island Adventure Resort
COST: $500
CAMP 2 - WEST
DATES: Monday 26th September – Friday 30th September 2022
LOCATION: Angahook Holiday Camp, Aireys Inlet
COST: $500
CAMP PRE-REQUISITES:
Minimum age is 17 years as of the first date of the camp
Must be proficient and current in the following;
Bronze Medallion
Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (HLTAID001) or (HLTAID009)
Provide First Aid (HLTAID003) or HLTAID011)
Provide Advanced Resuscitation (HLTAID007) or (HLTAID015)
Applications close Sunday 26th June 2022

Life Saving Victoria (LSV) is now inviting applications for employment for roles at the 2022 Advanced Lifesaving Camp. Vacancies exist for Camp Leaders with varied specialist skills.
We are seeking experienced lifeguards and lifesaving members in leadership roles, with training and assessment qualifications.

Training Officer Certificate (TOC) Courses 2022
Ever wanted to help train courses at Woolamai Beach SLSC? The Training Officer Certificate (TOC) is the key award to starting your journey as a trainer for LSV.
Over 2 days, this course is for members looking to have a long-term involvement in training and assessment delivery across a combination of aquatic rescue, first aid and emergency care and powercraft courses.
Dates Location
23 & 24 July 2022 @ Mildura LSC
20 & 21 August 2022 @ Life Saving Victoria – Port Melbourne
10 & 11 September 2022 @ South Melbourne LSC
15 & 16 October 2022 @ Mornighton LSC
Courses will be available to enroll into via the member training portal. The cost of the course is $50.00 payable at the time of enrolment. Members must also receive a club endorsement from the Chief Instructor before registering. Once you have filled out your endorsement form, please email it to training@woolamaibeach.asn.au.
