Annual General Meeting - Summary
Dear Members
Our Annual General Meeting was conducted last Sunday and a new board has been finalised. Please see below members appointed on the Woolamai Board of Directors for the 2023/24 season:
Dune stabilisation and retaining wall works underway
Work on the long awaited sand removal, dune stabilisation, retaining wall project started this week.
This work will see significant volumes of sand being removed from dunes around the Clubhouse and redistributed along the beach and to repair dune blowouts which are contributing to sand build up.
A 60 metre long concrete retaining wall will be constructed and the Clubhouse driveway will be widened.
This stage of the project is expected to completed in late August. After this dune revegetation will begin and a new concrete path will be built near the Club entrance and be completed prior to summer.
During the construction phase, areas surrounding the Clubhouse and dunes will be fenced off. Please do not enter these areas. Access to the beach, inside the Clubhouse, kiosk and public toilets will still be possible.
Club members are also asked to assist revegetation efforts by sticking to the pathways and off the dunes at all times. Members of the public should be politely asked to do the same.
The project has been made possible by a Commonwealth Government Building Better Regions Fund grant as well as contributions from the Club and Phillip Island Nature Parks.

External Employment Opportunity
Darrell Clark is seeking someone that is interested in full time employment at his Bus Glass fitting company. Please see below for more details.
Hi members of Woolamai.
I need to employ a new full time employee at my bus glass fitting business. I need a long term person who is reliable and wants a job. I pay overtime most weeks and days when they finish early I still pay 8 hours. I pay really well as I want to keep good staff. They do not need to know what to do as we can train them. Just need a good attitude and want to work. Don't care about their age. Do need to drive though as we are mobile as we go to the buses. No depot just all mobile. I can provide them one of the small Hino trucks to take home each night. Do you know of anyone that may suit ?
Cheers. Clarky.
