Islander’s Presentation / Hawaiian Night

Arguably the biggest night of the season for the last few seasons is back once again this year!

Come on down to patrol Saturday 22nd and Sunday 23rd of April for what promises to be 2 fun days!

On Saturday night the Islanders Patrol will be hosting our annual Presentation / Hawaiian night where we play a few games, have some fun, and celebrate a great season while recognising members who have come down to out patrols and gone above and beyond!

More information to come in the coming weeks but for now save the date!

We’ll be putting on a feast too so come hungry!

New Surf Rescue Quarter Zip Jumper

The club is excited to promote our own club Surf Rescue Patrolling (Quarter Zip) Jumper! These jumpers are to be worn by patrolling members when on patrol or conducting water safety throughout the season.

These jumpers are excellent for those cold, windy, inclement days on the beach. We are hoping to purchase stock into the future however for now, please click on the button below to pre-order your jumper.

We were lucky enough to grab a few samples for members to try on before purchasing. These samples have been left in the training room under the TV. Please DO NOT remove these or wear them around as they are purely just samples.

Presentation Night ~ Save the Date!!

The club is happy to announce that we have booked Silverwater Resort for the second year in a row for our presentation night on Saturday 20th May 2023!

Presentation Night is a night where we come together to celebrate all our members achievements throughout the 2022/23 season. This is one of the clubs biggest events and we would love to see as many people make it for this special occasion.

Further details and tickets to the event will be emailed and posted in the near future.

Presentation Night Committee

Want to be a part of the Presentation Night Committee for 2023? There are a range of tasks that need to be completed to make a successful Presentation Night run smoothly and the best part is you do not require any previous skills to help out.

In order for the night to go smoothly and it be a joint effort by the club, we require at least one person from each patrol to be on the committee.

Valuing Volunteers Evening (VVE) - Save the Date!

Volunteers make extraordinary contributions to lifesaving each year in a wide range of club and state-wide roles. The VVE is an opportunity to recognise these contributions, while also saying thank you, and within the communities that our members have made an impact.

Valuing Volunteers Evening (VVE) is LSV’s way of thanking our volunteers who contribute hundreds of hours between the red and yellow flags. Members who contribute over 100+ hours this season will be invited to attend the event at LSV.

When: Friday, 19 May 2023
Time: 6:30-9:30pm
Location: The Views, Life Saving Victoria, Port Melbourne

LSV Ready to Lead Program

Ready to Lead aims to explore and develop the potential of aquatic industry, volunteers and staff within lifesaving and emergency services.

This program is open to anyone who is 18+ years of age and looking to develop themselves as a leader. Participants will receive an individual personality profile, tailored developmental strategies, practical tools ad resources as well an increased network of other emergency service volunteers and workers.

The cost of the program is $375, which consists of 7 sessions (5 online and 2 full day sessions), commencing on April 26 through to June 17.
