LSV awards of excellence committee
Life Saving Victoria’s annual Awards of Excellence evening celebrates the best in Victorian lifesaving, by recognising the outstanding achievements and contributions by both lifesaving volunteers and those working across the aquatic industry.
The events sub-committee has begun planning this years’ event and is currently seeking our next star master of ceremonies for this years’ Awards of Excellence.
We are reaching out to you, as our members, to gather expressions of interest to help make this years’ event a night to remember! Members of all ages and abilities are encouraged to apply, with up to 2 MC’s to be appointed. Whether you are an experienced MC or speaker in your day job or perhaps it’s a career that you have always been interested in exploring further. Confidence, some experience with public speaking and a little bit of pizzazz are the key pre-requisites we need.
The successful MC’s will be co-hosting the event and speaking notes will be provided. You will play a key role in contributing to the atmosphere and overall delivery of the awards night. This is a volunteer role. We will work closely with you to provide any training and support required. A small payment may be possible to help cover transport and accommodation.
Co-hosting the Awards of Excellence presents a fantastic opportunity to upskill, add to your CV or help build your profile as a budding speaker. Professionals are also encouraged to get in touch. Alternatively, if you know of someone who you think may be perfect for the job, please share this and encourage them to apply
If you are interested, please submit a copy of your resume as well as a short video covering the following to corporatecomms@lsv.com.au:
Some information about yourself and your current involvement at LSV
A little bit about your experience in public speaking or hosting an event
Why you think you are perfect for the job
What you think you could bring to our event this year •
Why is recognising members important to you
Applications close Sun 3 April 2022.
